About Me
I am an AI Value Architect and Director-level AI Scientist based in Dubai, with over 15 years of experience designing, deploying, and articulating the value of machine learning systems across education, finance, and regulated environments. I hold a PhD in Business Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University, along with two master's degrees from George Washington University and the Catholic University of America, all earned in Washington, D.C.
My work bridges hands-on AI engineering and senior-stakeholder value articulation. At ASI, I lead AI strategy and execution on a national ed-tech platform serving over 300,000 students. I build classification, forecasting, and NLP models that process terabytes of structured, conversational, financial, and multimodal data, and I present ROI to UAE Government leadership at the Ministerial level, the Executive Director of Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), and the Managing Director of Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF). I architect systems from research through production, including drift monitoring, controlled rollbacks, and batch retraining pipelines.
I combine executive accountability with hands-on Python implementation. Whether it is building a predictive model from scratch, advising billion-AED investment decisions, or building business cases for AI initiatives at the client level, I approach each challenge with rigour, clarity, and a commitment to measurable outcomes.
I am a UAE National. I represented ASI in The Future of AI in Government Services Accelerator Program (Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Part of Dubai Future Foundation, 2025), where ASI was selected as 1 of 11 international organizations from 1,100+ applicants; I co-delivered an AI-powered ROI analytics dashboard with ASI's Founder CEO as the applied project output. I am also first author on a manuscript currently in revise-and-resubmit at the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, a top-tier IS journal. Earlier, I was appointed at Virginia Commonwealth University to deliver a graduate-level Text Analytics course in the School of Business, where I designed the full syllabus and applied Python curriculum.
